Our two favorite alternative wedding dress designers are Sarah Seven and Natalie Wynn Design because we’ve seen them in the flesh and can vouch for their uniqueness in design and their quality. Both have very different styles, however. Sarah Seven is more minimal with clean, angular lines while Natalie Wynn is more whimsical and tends to play with color. Wynn also has a line of statement pieces including headbands and hair clips.

We’ve also had one of our brides say “I Do” in a combination of a Louvienne dress with a custom beaded veil from The Law Bridal. We love Louvienne because they put a modern spin on classic bridal silhouettes while The Law Bridal has some of the coolest, most unique capes and veils we’ve ever seen. If you’re looking for an extra unique detail, definitely check them out.

If you’re looking for something a little more feminine but still fresh + unique, designer Alexandra Grecco balances modern elements with effortless style. A lot of her dresses show cases her intricate hand-embroidery like on the sleeves in the photo above. If you’re looking for something more ethereal and flowy, Carol Hannah is the queen of designing dresses with fluid movement using innovative and unique textiles. She also has a line of “little white dresses” that are great for bridal showers, bachelorettes and rehearsal dinners.

If you consider yourself more of a Bohemian Bride, Lovers Society has a beautiful line of gowns that feel effortless and fun with both intricate lace and bold, floral embroidery. They also have some really unique veils and accessories like the detachable tulle sleeves in the photo on the left.

Whether you’re wanting to rent or buy your wedding day tux, I strongly encourage you to check out The Black Tux. They design their tuxes for a modern fit but with classic construction and offer a bunch of different styles from classic black to more funky colors and patterns. You tell them your sizing, choose your style and they send your tux a month before your wedding so that you can try it on beforehand. And if you love it, you can pay to own it!
