Springtime Micro Wedding Dinner at Zinnia in Silver Spring, Maryland
This past April we were lucky enough to help celebrate Emily and Rigel, a beautiful Washington DC couple looking to say their I Dos with a micro wedding dinner with their closest family and friends. The couple hired us for Partial Planning, one of our many add-ons that support our couples not only with day of coordination, but with some of the planning process, as well. We helped the couple find their venue and catering and connected them with other vendors that weren’t already included in our all-inclusive package. (Hair, makeup, rentals, etc!)
The couple chose Zinnia because it’s a place they’ve shared many meals together as a couple. It has beautiful indoor and outdoor options: a stunning garden for ceremony, a patio with bistro lights for cocktail hour and a gorgeous space inside the restaurant for the couple’s micro wedding dinner (and dancing!)
Emily had an inspiration board and a color palette chosen before we even started working together which made our job a breeze! The couple chose linen napkins from Select Rentals in blues and greens to act as a pop of color on their guest tables as well as big, lush floral centerpieces to act as a focal point for guests. They also chose two ground arrangements to act as bookends for their ceremony and incorporated a hand-painted welcome sign that included a watercolor of their venue.
We loved how thoughtful this couple was about their details without blowing their budget or taking the focus away from what mattered most to them: each other, their family and their friends.
