Riggs Hotel
The Riggs Hotel in Washington DC is located in the historical former Riggs National Bank building on the corner of 9th and F Street. Paying homage to the building’s legacy, the suites, which are perfect for a micro wedding, are reminiscent of a private safety deposit box, while moments throughout the hotel draw on a narrative inspired by the golden age of banking.
The hotel includes three spaces that work well for a DC micro wedding: the first is the Riggs Suite. It’s a large, light-filled dining and lounge space with two adjoining bedrooms on either side, making it the perfect space for a ceremony and cocktail hour and for the couple to get ready. After an intimate ceremony and cocktail reception, guests can move downstairs into the private dining room for a candlelit dinner catered by the hotel’s incredible food and beverage team. The hotel also offers a swanky cocktail bar called The Silver Lyan, nestled in the lower level of Riggs, in the bank building's former vault. This space works great as an after-party location or as a more intimate reception space.
Hay Adams
If you’re looking for a more traditional and classically DC micro wedding venue, then the Concorde Room at the Hay Adams, conveniently located right off of Lafayette Square, may be more your speed! The Concorde Room features airy Belle Époque styling highlighted by hand-painted wallpaper and crystal chandeliers. This elegant function room with floor-to-ceiling windows is ideal for micro wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, and intimate dinners!
The Hay Adams also has a rooftop that looks over the Washington Monument and The White House making for a picture-perfect portrait backdrop! If you are eloping and it’s just you and your partner, consider booking a room at the Hay Adams with a Juliette balcony! Couples in the past have used this as a backdrop to their private ceremony.

Swann House
Our latest venue partner is the Swann House! Established in 1883 and renovated in 2023, the venue maintains the original charm and character of the historic building while boasting modern design and conveniences. Located in the heart of Dupont Circle, the Swann House is the perfect venue for weddings, cocktail receptions, and all types of intimate celebrations. In addition to the event space, the Swann House is a full-service bed and breakfast offering 8 rooms available for rent (sleeping up to 18 guests) which is perfect for out-of-town guests traveling for your micro wedding! PATTERSON MANSION
Patterson Mansion once owned by socialite Eleanor Josephine Medill “Cissy” Patterson, has been a micro wedding venue for over a century. Its halls have hosted presidents and pioneers, from President Calvin Coolidge to aviator Charles Lindbergh. Located directly on DC’s iconic Dupont Circle and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Patterson Mansion is the premier venue for intimate to grand events. It has three different spaces to host your micro wedding: a library perfect for a ceremony, a foyer with gorgeous doors leading out to a balcony perfect for a cocktail hour and a ballroom with soaring ceilings and a built in bar perfect for your reception.

Iron Gate
Another popular Washington DC micro wedding venue, Iron Gate is the premier location for all local foodies! Located in Dupont Circle, the restaurant and event space stands as one of the district’s oldest continuously operating restaurants. It is split between a sumptuous dining room, a wisteria-covered patio, and a handsomely enclosed carriageway that houses the bar.
They offer our couples the most delicious food and beautiful backdrops to celebrate their ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner reception in indoor and (covered) outdoor spaces!
