An Intimate Jewish Micro Wedding at Riggs Hotel in Washington DC

We ended our 2023 Washington DC micro wedding season with an intimate, jewish wedding ceremony followed by a twelve person seated, candlelit dinner at Riggs Hotel! Everything happened on site including the couple’s welcome toast the evening before at Cafe Riggs and their after party downstairs in Silver Lynn, the hotel’s super swanky cocktail bar. The couple got ready in the rooms that adjoined the private suite where they had their ketubah signing and jewish ceremony beneath a baby’s breathe covered chuppah! They wanted the space to feel like they were among the clouds and I think Brooke of Stem and Thistle floral absolutely delivered! The chuppah installation was paired with a bar arrangement and candles for the couple’s cocktail hour in the suite followed by a long never-ending aisle of baby’s breathe and ranunculus down their dinner table with both tapered candles and votives. The couple included many personal touches included custom cocktail napkins with a portrait of their dog printed and custom linen napkins at each table setting at dinner. The couple looked absolutely fabulous in their wedding day portraits starting with a First Look in front of Fig and Olive in City Center which is where they had their very first date! (They even snuck in a photo seated at the bar where they met, too!) The couple then took an uber over to The Jefferson Monument for some portraits beneath the marbled columns. We love that this couple incorporated their religious traditions into their DC micro wedding and are excited to see how future couples do the same!
