Planning Your Small, Intimate Wedding: A Guide for Washington DC and Baltimore Couples

You and your partner have decided to have a micro wedding instead of a big, over-the-top (and expensive!) affair. Congratulations! We are so excited for you.

But now you’re probably wondering what to do next, and that’s where all of us at Tiny Wedding Collective come in! We’re the tiny wedding experts and we’re here to take the guesswork out of wedding planning.

Our expertly curated micro wedding packages are limited but customizable — by simplifying the process and minimizing options, you avoid decision fatigue and overwhelm. This means you truly get to enjoy your celebration without fretting over the nitty gritty.

We’ve developed a clear-cut formula with top-notch vendors, but don’t worry — we won’t box you in with bland boring bouquets. Your wedding should directly reflect your personality and we delight in including all the quirky details that make you, *you*. Bigger isn’t always better, but bigger personalities? Bring it on.

Start with our Micro Wedding Planning Checklist

Our micro wedding checklist gives you an easy-to-follow planning process for your micro wedding in DC or Baltimore. We take a lot of the guesswork out of the planning which is why so many of our clients download the checklist right away! You can get it for free just by signing up for our email list here

Not ready to commit to our email list quite yet? Still need some convincing? Not to worry! We’ll share some free tips below:

Once you have your tiny wedding date…

The next step is to book your ceremony and reception venue. One of the perks of booking a Tiny Wedding Co micro wedding package is the extensive list of DC and Baltimore venues we share with our clients that specialize in and offer our couples EXCLUSIVE micro wedding packages! This list makes it easy for our couples to book tours and choose a venue that fits their style and budget.

Once you have your micro wedding venue secured…

You’ll want to start working on booking your other vendors. Remember, when booking an all-inclusive package with Tiny Wedding Co, you get the officiant, day of coordinator, photographer, and florist all in one package saving you hours and hours of back and forth with vendors gathering proposals and contracts. Aside from the main vendors, we also share with you our recommended minor vendors like hair, makeup, transportation, and music.

The next steps include working on your day of timeline for your dream micro-wedding

Fun fact: this is included in our all-inclusive micro wedding package! As well as getting your marriage license (we’ll show you how to do this) and making sure all of the other details are in place - you’ve picked out music for your ceremony, your wedding bands and what you’ll be wearing!

While micro weddings are smaller by nature, there are still a lot of “to-dos” to keep track of! Tiny Wedding Co has a system in place to take a lot of these to-dos off your plate and to make the to-dos you do need to take care of less stressful and painless!
