S+S | Washington DC Micro Wedding at Iron Gate

Where to even begin? This couple’s wedding was a true reflection of their love for one another and their family and friends. They constantly went above and beyond for each other throughout the planning process, always bring mindful of the others’ preferences and feelings - it was such an honor to have a front row seat to their love.

The girls chose to celebrate their micro wedding with a brunch at Iron Gate in Washington DC. The menu consisted of boozy brunch cocktails and wine, piles of French toast with berries, fresh focaccia, frittatas and salads + veggies. (If you’ve never eaten at Iron Gate run, don’t walk. It’s incredible!) The couple chose a warm, bold color palette with orange being the centerpiece to honor Stephanie’s late brother. They had Stem and Thistle, our in-house florist, adorn the stairway that acted as their ceremony backdrop with a trailing floral garland as well as top each guest table with a centerpiece to match. Stephanie surprised her wife (and their guests!) with live music played by The Bachelor Boys for their reception where they shared their first dance as wife and wife, their guests gave toasts (not a dry eye in the room) and they cut into their cake. It was an incredibly special day and we are so lucky to have been a part of it!
